Placing a team on the positioning matrix
You will discover how to map the evolution of a team's positioning.
At the time of the analysis, each team is in a certain dynamic of improvement, process alignment and collective performance.
The team positioning map allows you to graphically visualise these elements at a glance.
STEP 1 : DOWNLOAD THE POSITIONING MATRIX
In order to display and visualise the evolution of your team's positioning according to its alignment and performance, it will first be necessary to download the positioning matrix:
Download the positioning matrix template
The x-axis runs from 0 to 12 and represents the number of aligned operating processes.
The y-axis is the average of the 4 components of a team's performance represented from 5 to 10.

STEP 2 : CALCULATE THE AVERAGE PERFORMANCE AND THE NUMBER OF PROCESSES IN ALIGNMENT
❗️❗️ WARNING : Before calculating the average performance, you will need to switch your view to "OpenDecide" in the upper right-hand corner.

All you have to do is average out the 4 components.
In the example below: (9,1 + 9,5 + 8,8 + 8,6) / 4 = 9

Secondly, in order to calculate the positioning of your team you will need to calculate the number of aligned processes (out of the 12 existing processes by referring to the red exclamation marks on the platform).
In the example below: 8 processes aligned (out of a total of 12).

STEP 3 : POSITIONING THE TEAM ON THE POSITIONING MATRIX
Use a point or shape of your choice on the Powerpoint file to locate the team on the matrix.
In the previous example, the team is x = 10 and y = 9,1 which gives the following positioning:

STEP 4: SEE THE EVOLUTION THROUGH TIME
The matrix is a Powerpoint document which will allow you to visualise the evolution of the performance and alignment of a team over time.
See below the X team had 5 aligned work processes (7 unaligned) and an average performance of 7.6 in May 2021.
Three months later in August 2021, the alignment of one work process has increased performance to 8.2/10. The team is approaching the optimal level of performance.
