The scale

In this article, we will give you information to understand how the scale we use at OpenDecide works.

OpenDecide uses a non-linear scale from 0 to 10 to measure the performance of a team.

In contrast to conventional ratings, the average is not 5/10, but 7/10.

A color code will help you to visualise the three areas of team functioning on this scale:

The dysfunctional level between 0 and 7 corresponds to a zone of very high instability where it is very difficult to build on.

The functional level between 7 and 8.5 corresponds to a zone of moderate stability. This means that on average it works, but there are also ups and downs that disrupt the performance of the team.
In other words: overall it works, but it can be improved.

The optimal level between 8.5 and 10 corresponds to a zone of very high stability for the team where what is built is solid and efficient.
